Donna, all I can tell you is to cut off any limbs that hit you in the

head
when you are mowing and any that might be crossing over other limbs and
rubbing on them. Also cut them just beyond the little scar-looking thing
where the limb is attached to the trunk of the tree or the main branch.
That way they will heal right. Now how is that for the 'scientific'
explanation. :-)
