This one is actually a small book, one of the AHS Practicals.  I believe
these little books are just sections from the big brown book, don't recall
the exact name.  This small book is actually "Plants from Cuttings", but I
assume this setup would be good for seeds or cuttings.  At any rate, it did
show the use of insulation between bench and heat which I think was part of
your original question.
