Re: pruningl

Thanks Ron, I'll work on my technique. This is a fiskars aluminum
telescoping pruner which I truly love. I put in a pin oak years ago and as
it grew I pruned off lower brancheswith regular saw, pruners, or loppers.
Then had to get a step ladder. Then had to get my tall ladder that I use to
get on the roof. When that was as high as I could get I stopped. It's a
lovely tree. The Norway maple is another story. It has a shade plant bed
under most of it and a rambling rose growing through it. The rose needs
trimming as does the tree, but I can't use a ladder in the soft bed. As
light as this pole is I think sawing would be much more awkward for me than
using the pruner, but that's only big enough for maybe 2 inches, which is
plenty most of the time. I've never yet attached the saw, but will give it
a try this year.
Kitty
