Yes, American Dream looks nothing like my rosea either. I bet you're right,
must be a verticillata cultivar, not listed in A-Z (should be). When I get
home, I want to check RHS and see what they say. Very confusing.
The "Powers That Be", sometime back dictated that it is no longer allowed to
use a botanical Latin word to name a cultivar, but nothing seems able to be
done about all those that had already had it done to them. This looks like
a good example of why they made that decision.
