In MG class we were told to leave it outdoors in summer in a somewhat shady spot and not bring it in until it got some mid to high 30s temps. It owrks. I don't think it has to do w the temps; it's just that here in Z5 the daylength factor must usually time out just right with when the temps get that low.

The old wives tale when something like it depended on the amount (hours) of
natural daylight it got.
Years ago when mine wouldn't bloom, the family told me to put in a room that
got nothing but sunlight- an amazingly it did bloom then.
