Even if they don't want to help people, creating worms and viruses doesn't even help themselves. What IS the point?

Wow...I was thinking of getting my twin daughters Mac laptops for
graduation presents this year (that's what they asked for...not a
Mac...but a laptop to take to college) and I thought about Mac because
of the lesser chance of virus problems...but apparently it doesn't
really matter!!!! I do not understand the purpose of hackers...and why
they do that. They need to get a life doing something that will HELP
people if they are that smart.
