Beard Tongue seems to be the big draw in my yard, though we have most of the
plants they recommended on the site. We had to move the Penstemon (Beard
Tongue) away from the garage door because we kept getting hummers trapped in
the garage! (They would fly up to the top to look for a way out and our
garage ceiling is 14' off the ground. Then they couldn't find the door wide
open many feet below. I would have to get a feeder and hang it on a door
handle or something so they would find the way out.) I saw them a couple of
times in the Echinacea, but not in the sage or on our butterfly bushes.

Thanks so much for the information on hummers. My sister has a "painting
room" with windows all around...hummers frequent a feeder and plants on one
side and she loves them. I sent her all info, including the site, which I
also found very interesting. I have many of the plants listed as good for
hummers but have usually seen them (green) on the sage and butterfly bush.
