I fertilized just this weekend with alfalfa meal and green sand on most everything also. I add extra stuff to the acid lovers and the citrus trees and my apple.

I realize plants have different requirements, but I am not about to dole out a specific diet to each and every one. I will pay attention to some differences but generally I give them all the same treatment. My favorite fertilizer from which every plant can benefit is Alfalfa. It's GA isn't high, but neither is its price.:
"Alfalfa Meal (3-1-2) is very high in Vitamin A, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Pantothenic Acid, Niacin, Pyridoxine, Choline, Proline, Bentaine, Folic Acid, plus N-P-K, and trace elements. It also contains sugars, starches, proteins, coenzymes, and amino acids. [contains over 30 nutrients, vitamins, etc] How could your soil not respond to such a wide and varied nutritional organic fertilizer."
Usually I will mix it with other products I have here according to a rose-fertilizing recipe I have. I feed the same recipe to all my plants. None have complained. If a plant is a heavy bloomer, I'll add some rock phosphate. This also, of course, helps roots, but if roots are a concern I boost it with Green Light Root Stimulator.

My entire yard need a jump start this spring with some fertilizers. Of course everything needs something different and well, I am lazy, especially since everything needs something and quick. Was thinking about giving everything a shot of a standard fertilizer right after Rich's snow goes away. It would give me the time to do a few things then determine what everything needs specifically this year. So any recommendations? Would I do more harm this way?
