Theresa, go to old town. If you like tropical plants, history and venerable old Hibiscus trees you will love. Very Spanish in style. Fun place. There is a big section along the water that is also fun, good place to party and stroll. Go across the Coronado bridge (hopefully that's the right name) and walk along the beach. Beautiful hotels and shops.

I'm going to San Diego later today for a conference. Anything I should try to see while I'm there? I won't have tons of time in between the workshops for the next couple of days, but if there is a particularly great garden spot I should visit, I'd sure love to know.
