She's becoming less timid, but it's a slow process. She actually comes and asks when she wants to go out--at first I had to open the door, move across the room, and pretend not to look at her--so we're making progress.

We're thinking about replacing the kitchen counter
and sink. Last
evening we had a contractor come in to give us a
bid. Squinty took one
look at him and hid behind a basket in the living
room. Every now and
then she would peek out, but she didn't come out
from behind the basket
until he left.

Guess he won't get the job.
