I don't have a fence. That's one reason I haven't had a dog for so long. It's on this year's to do list. These little dogs are so obedient, I thought we could manage for a month or 2 'til the weather got better. They will wander, but come right back when you call. Just getting daylight here, so I'll get out there right after breakfast. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kitty" <kmrsy@comcast.net>

Oh, what a shame. You don't have a fenced area for them? I sure hope the missing one finds its way back. It's been my experience that missing dogs are easier to find than missing cats; they don't hide. Can you put an ad in the paper? Driving, walking around the area for hours might help. Good luck, I'll be hoping for you.Kitty neIN, Zone 5----- Original Message ----- From: "Judy Browning" <judylee@lewiston.com>To: <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2007 12:30 AM Subject: Re: [CHAT] dogs/lostMy son let the dogs out while I was at work, didn't watch them & then took off to give his nephew a ride to a meeting. When I got home a couple hours later, one was home & one was missing. Grrr. I've left a message with the Humane Society, called the Police, and walked around the block calling. I don't have a good picture of him, haven't been able to reach his former owner to borrow one of hers. Any suggestions on finding lost dogs? It's pouring rain & chilly tonight, but not freezing, thank goodness. The police got a report of a small dog a few blocks away from here, but couldn't find it. Will probably walk around over there tomorrow. Had a great day at home yesterday, DH & I cleaned up the back yard & flower borders. 67F, sunny, perfect day to be outside. The dogs followed us around eating walnuts when we stepprd on them. Crocus are in bloom & daffodils in bud, neighbor's daffs are blooming against her west-facing wall. She never sees them, I sure enjoy them. My mom-in-law planted them years ago when she lived there. Spring is here off & on.Judy B --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT--------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT
