Re: dogs/lost

I don't have a fence. That's one reason I haven't had a dog for so long. It's on this year's to do list. These little dogs are so obedient, I thought we could manage for a month or 2 'til the weather got better. They will wander, but come right back when you call. Just getting daylight here, so I'll get out there right after breakfast. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kitty" <kmrsy@comcast.net>

Oh, what a shame. You don't have a fenced area for them? I sure hope the missing one finds its way back. It's been my experience that missing dogs are easier to find than missing cats; they don't hide. Can you put an ad in the paper? Driving, walking around the area for hours might help. Good luck, I'll be hoping for you.

My son let the dogs out while I was at work, didn't watch them & then took off to give his nephew a ride to a meeting. When I got home a couple hours later, one was home & one was missing. Grrr. I've left a message with the Humane Society, called the Police, and walked around the block calling. I don't have a good picture of him, haven't been able to reach his former owner to borrow one of hers. Any suggestions on finding lost dogs? It's pouring rain & chilly tonight, but not freezing, thank goodness. The police got a report of a small dog a few blocks away from here, but couldn't find it. Will probably walk around over there tomorrow. Had a great day at home yesterday, DH & I cleaned up the back yard & flower borders. 67F, sunny, perfect day to be outside. The dogs followed us around eating walnuts when we stepprd on them. Crocus are in bloom & daffodils in bud, neighbor's daffs are blooming against her west-facing wall. She never sees them, I sure enjoy them. My mom-in-law planted them years ago when she lived there. Spring is here off & on.
