Re: Presumed Poison Found

Well, that shows how closely I was listening. I'm just really sad about it happening at all. I don't have time to make food for my animals, and I would be heartsick if something happened to them because of somebody else's actions. At work I am forever warning people buying poisons about what could happen to their pets or the pets of others should they not read and follow directions carefully. I am generally not dealing with members of Mensa, either.

It was in wheat gluten from China where it is legal to use it - but not IN the food product, just aound it. Still not known if intentional.

I heard about the rodent poison on my way home! That is just horrible. Do you think it was done intentionally? Also, PetSmart sent me (and everybody else on their e-mail list) a listing of all the affected food they carry along with the upc #s of each product. I was happy to note "we" don't eat any of it.

Some conflicting info in the reports cited by Donna and Daryl, but all in all pretty scary. Daryl, I think you mentioned your vet's cat was very sick; how's it doing? Did it survive? Has anyone else here been hurt by this?
