I love Pi day! Did you know that all over the world groups of Pi
fanatics get together to celebrate this day by seeing who can repeat the
most number of memorized digits of this amazing number? (plus eat lots
of pie!!!) Pi has been calculated out to more than a trillion decimal
digits with nary two numbers repeating in a row...and someone actually
holds the world record for correctly remembering something like 30,000
of those digits!!!!! While I am not a Pi fanatic myself, particularly
given that math is not one of those things for which I have any kind of
aptitude, I do have an extremely high level of admiration for people who
can be so fascinated by a mathematical concept that they would go to all
that mental effort to memorize something like that...wow, what
dedication!

In Euclidean plane geometry, p is defined as the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter:[1]

 
BTW, I'm sure you all know this already but just in case: "In Euclidean
