RE: Calhoun

I'm so sorry. It's nice you had him at home though.

Thanks, everybody for all your kind words. This group has become a
family
to me, and you all always help. Calhoun did wait to say good-bye before
he
crossed the bridge sometime Friday night. I left him "lying in state"
when
I went to work on Saturday, and we had a private burial when I got back
home. Thankfully the ground was soft from all the recent rain. You are
all
correct in stating the obvious that we can only provide love and
kindness
for a short time while our pets are here. I do realize that, and I am
so
grateful to have had the opportunity to interact with this particular
cat,
who was more like a wise old man than a kitty. I think all the others
miss
him, too. Now, if I'm lucky, another one will not show up. I need to
commence winding down on the large cat population in my house.
Love,
zem
