Good idea, thanks Judy. I thought I'd put one of my pillows in the back of the truck, near her food and water bowls so she will have an alternative place to nap. When I've traveled with cats before, they can be a real nuisance at first roaming around by your feet and such until they've explored the territory. That's another reason for the "travel training." Once I get on the interstate, I want to boogie.

Good idea, Jim. Sounds like she is bonded to you, so make sure to keep a couple unwashed shirts or hand towels in the cab for her. It'll smell more like home. ----- Original Message ----- From: "james singer" <islandjim1@verizon.net>To: <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Wednesday, March 26, 2008 11:49 AM Subject: Re: [CHAT] hum....Weather here's passible--mid-70s, no wind to mention. Orchids are blooming. Squinty and I are almost all packed up and ready to split; I keep trying to find room in the truck for something and she keeps fussing because she knows something's afoot but not what.Tomorrow we start "travel training" for Squinty--putting her in the truck cab sans cat-carrier and driving around the neighborhood for a few minutes--to get her used to the idea. Obviously, I want her to begin to think of the cab as a safe haven so if she escapes while we're on the road, she'll come right back to be brushed or treated with a "Greenie."On Mar 26, 2008, at 2:22 PM, Donna wrote:must have some nice weather everywhere... although it is nice out here, I am stuck in the office...just testing to see if working.
