Re: new pics

I don't know when they sell azaleas/rhodies. At the spring sale when I went before they were selling a bit of everything- it was really fun actually looking at all of the variety of plants they had. I'd try High Country Gardens for salvias- they have many to offer.

Theresa thanks for the Strybing schedule. I'd like to go to that but I'm
also interested in the salvia's. Any idea when they sell azaleas and
rhodies? I don't want to buy them while they're blooming since they are
always more expensive that way. I need about a dozen azaleas and three
or four rhodies...maybe five or six.

When is it Theresa? I don't go to Sac very often though my sister lives
in Roseville. Maybe Linda and I will visit sometime in the summer now
that I'm not a plant slave anymore.

Thanks Dave. Hey, if you are ever coming this way you should call me and come visit- then you can see my little place for real. The bee colony is for orchard mason bees. They are fascinating to watch and they've multiplied every year. They are excellent pollinators too- better than honeybees. I'm doing my part to keep the bee population intact here in Sacramento. : ) I haven't been to Strybing in a couple of years- are you going to their plant sale??

Theresa beautiful pics. It's been years since I've seen your place. What
a difference. Hey, what's a bee colony? Sacs a great place to grow
plants isn't it?

Last weekend several members of my family met at the Conservatory of
Flowers and Strybing Arboreteum. You should have seen all of the azaleas
and rhodies blooming. Fantastic.

Thanks for sharing.

I finally got around to taking some pictures in my garden. Missed some of the earlier spring blooms, but still lots to see and very pretty this year. It was a good year for bulbs, and my citrus are going to have tons of blooms this year.
The pics are currently uploading onto flicker now-
