It is indigenous to southern IL, and I have established it in my back yard (hoping that the shady location and being at the northern end of its growing area, would keep it under control. They're your photos, your beds. Icommend you for getting the pictures taken. I used to be better about it - and that was when I used FILM. It's so much easier now with digital and yet I still forget to grab the camera. River cane - I don't know it. Is this it? : http://www.tva.gov/river/landandshore/stabilization/plants/river_cane.htm oh, and BTW - thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, for writing "an" historic hard freeze. We used to have a beautiful stand of river cane along the driveway but we had an historic hard freeze a couple of years ago after things warmed up and they bit the dust. Any suggestions from any of you wonderful gardeners?
