Cyndi and Judy- I am going to see if any branched are long enough to try that.  If they aren't long enough now, there will be later in the season I am sure.  Thanks!

I would try that too. In my old garden I had Spanish lavender, huge clumps of it, seems to me I would weed around it and pull up rooted stems. I may be confusing it with the rosemary but I think the lavender did it too.
