king sagos

for those interested in the social behavior of cycads, my yard guy just cleaned up my king sago [which is a female] and we discovered that it has three pups. we knew it had one because it had branched out a couple of years ago. now, there are two new pups, as yet without fronds, nestled between the mother plant and the first pup.

so, given time, water, and fertilizer, i should have a nice four stem cluster in a decade or so.
