hi, cathy. first idea that comes to mind is, after 12 years, it may not be a lilac.
second idea is, after 12 years of no blooms, it doesn't matter much what it is. i would yank it.

My sister in law has what she says is/looks like a lilac bush, but in the 12 years she has had her house, it has never bloomed. She lives in State College, PA. Wants to know if she should pull it out and plant an azalea. Any ideas as to why a lilac would not bloom?
