Just read an article on phishing today and there is a site that helps fight
it.  You can report phishing expeditions there, too.  I no longer have the
"bank mails" I received, but if I get another one I'll report it.  Who,
knows, it may work.  Also, they keep a phishing archive there so you can
check anything you receive against it.
