Re: plant ID...palm begonia

I found a Begonia luxurians, which was also described as a palm leaf begonia. Could that be the one?

Donna, talking about Palm like plant.....I recently saw a picture of a "palm
begonia". The foliage stood up tall from the plant, palmate shaped large
leaves on top of what seemed like tall standing stalks. It said it was a
begonia, common name "Palm Begonia". I didn't write down the botanical,
unfortunately, and of course have forgotten by now. I've asked a few people that are
into Begonias, but no one seems to know about this plant. Anyone grow it,
or know about it??

There is some kind of palm looking plant that does survive here. A few
blocks away they are growing it in a half whiskey barrel. See the darn thing
die off and remain outside with no additional protection and come back to
life each summer. . amazing, wish I knew what it was.... But the house looks
abandoned and never see anyone there.
