Containers and trays, etc have gone up something like 3 times since the first of the year. The medium I use was bought out by another company and costs have gone up on that as well. There is now a sur charge on delivery... and a larger minimum dollar amount on deliveries to my nursery. Steel has jumped about 40 % since January.
Credit cards now take another percent to process and they were already bleeding us while reducing all services.
Postal service says they will be upping costs of mailing next year.
Our water from the town is getting ready to go through the roof... already bad enough. It is the sewer charges. System is old and they now want to rebuild...
Have not figured out where we go from here on costs for next season.

I don't really know. All of my growers are local and family owned so
is not an issue. Heating costs along with the price of resin for those
plastic containers caused and increased the cost about 5-7%. Fortuanately,
our garden center buys so much, that the growers ate the increase to keep
our business in most cases. Also, the market accepts it. Some folks
about the prices and know that they can get the basics from the BIG BOXES
but most folks are happy to pay extra because we have new and different
things as well as taking good care of our plants.
