I read in today's paper about a 37 yr old man who got a 20 yr sentence for
torturing his 19 yr old girlfriend's 2 yr old.  He insists he had been just
discipling the child.  He made the child run around the living room and if
he stopped he got hit with a flyswatter and sometimes a board.  The idea was
to tire him out so he would go to sleep.  Two yrs later the child, in foster
care, is still a wreck.  Superior intelligence?
