Rose apple

I just discovered that a rose apple [Syzygium jambos] that I planted 4 years ago is finally in flower and fruit. It is also called Madagascar plum, which is a better name because the fruit is not apple-like at all, although it does have a slight rose-like taste. Or, so I've heard--never had one. Anyway--4 years! I was beginning to think I'd planted a dud. Film at 11.
