Never been to McKee, Andrea. I've always intended to. Vero is almost directly across the state from me, so it could be just a long day trip. Be more fun, though, to make a weekend of it and go to Fairchild as well. Guess if you're interested in Marx, you need to go to Brazil. His estate is supposed to be fabulous.

I actually used this article in my research paper that I just finished today. I know global warming isn't a good thing, but I have to say I wasn't unhappy to know I might be able to grow a few more things outside year-round. Oh Jim, wanted to ask, have you ever been to McKee Botanical Garden? We studied Frederick Law Olmstead in my last class and I found his student, William Lyman Phillips designed what was then McKee Jungle Gardens. I'd really like to go. The Cathedral of Palms sounds wonderful, as does the rest of it. Now I'm also fascinated with Roberto Burle Marx. I really need to move further south.A----- Original Message ----- From: "james singer" <islandjim1@verizon.net>To: "Garden Chat" <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Thursday, May 03, 2007 6:15 AM Subject: [CHAT] Plants; Global WarmingIn this morning's NYTimes.
