Re: OT Appliances GRRR!

I hope your landscaper gets there soon and gets things moved. But I can understand how anyone could get behind on things this season.

I thought this would be the year I'd get a jump on my garden because we have more MGs in our nursery group than ever. But no. I get as much work out of 15 as I used to get out of 6, maybe less. So I spent 3 evenings, about 9 hours, this past week doing spring cleanup that I couldn't get them to show up to do. And there's still a lot more to be done. So....the new plan is to reduce the nursery by half, eliminating beds and thus making it easier to maintain.

Thanks for letting me complain.

The garage is working out - I have to park very carefully as there
is only about a two-inch margin between the car and the oil tank.
What hasn't worked is that all the plants from the front of the
house - remember that scenario - are still down in the vegetable
garden. The landscape person who put them down there for us
has been promising for more than two weeks to come and put
them back, but now she says not until late next week. Not only
does the space in front of the house look awful - I need to be
planting things in the vegetable garden where the things from the
house are planted. We're talking about a large azalea, a fairly
large Mugo pine, and an entire bed of perennials. Lots of them
are up in the garden, but some don't look at all good. Not a
good season. Thanks for letting me complain.

Auralie, Years ago I was in therapy for awhile - very helpful at the time -
and I recall her preemininent advice: Forget the "shoulds". It's your
life, your home. If it's comfortable and clean, who cares? It's a home,
not a showplace. Yes, your son has to live with her but he could stand up
for his parents a bit and she could be less judgemental.

Yes, I have one wall of wood paneling myself and I've never liked it. Some
wood panelling can be very nice, but not this stuff. I'm looking into
painting it this summer.

Glad to hear you've got the ice taken care of. By the way, how's the garage
working out?
