You are probably right, Cyndi. Just after I sent that message, the weather channel showed the drift of that smoke from Georgia-North Florida. It crosses the state and snakes down the west coast all the way to Key West. That's gotta be 400 miles.

We seem to be having a smoke... storm? in?... like the whole state's
burning. Big clouds of smoke moved in about noon. The background has
turned yellowish and the foreground is hazy gray. Can't believe the wind
is bringing this stuff from the northern part of the state and
Georgia--that's 250 miles or so. Must be of closer origin.
