Well, subtropical storm Andrea gave us some rain today and sent the smoke blowing towards Jim. We had it last week, and I do hope Georgia gets some rain from her. Jim,
We've had smoke from it, too. Fortunately not much, as the wind shifted, but we're even farther away.
I just hope that that sub-tropical storm moves in and smothers the fires, rather than fanning the flames.

We seem to be having a smoke... storm? in?... like the whole state's burning. Big clouds of smoke moved in about noon. The background has turned yellowish and the foreground is hazy gray. Can't believe the wind is bringing this stuff from the northern part of the state and Georgia--that's 250 miles or so. Must be of closer origin.
