They are about the size of ping-pong balls with single seeds. Seeds are about the size of green peas, but the cavity is a bit larger, so the seed rattles around [freestone]. The flesh is white and somewhat crisp; the skin is a bit tough like a machine-harvested tomato. The flavor is pleasant--sweet, but not overly so; mild, with a hint of rose water; and moist, but not juicy. The flavor reminded me of some lipstick I've tasted. A friend in India [in Mysore] says it's a very popular fruit there and one of his favorites.
