I got it from Green Mtn Transplants in Maine. The company has its good and bad points but at $1.50 each, I don't mind. I notice it can be purchased from Digging Dog for $6. Oddly, they say it blooms July-August. Oh! and PDN has it for $11, "The 1" wide spikes flower for months, producing a hard-to-find, early-season vertical effect in the perennial border". My spikes are almost 3 inches wide at their thickest point.

Kitty,I love them both (and the photos show them off, so don't apologize!)! I have no room for a tree, but the Echium probably would like my sandy soil. Wheredid you get yours?
