Yeah... sounds like it would be fun to go and just rummage around. No clue about large leaf-small leaf, though. That is a characteristic difference between rhododendrons and azaleas all right, but I also seen rhododendrons with what I thought at the time were much smaller leaves than I would have expected; I've also seen them without their flowers in those characteristic clusters.

Ok, now I'm upset. The plant sale up north for Rhodies was LAST week. My
local paper had it for this coming weekend.  All plants were 30% off.
Arrrrghgh!
But, the SF sale has what I want anyway.  Here is the page with the

So, here is a question. They differentiate between large and small leaf rhodies. Is this the difference between azaleas and rhodies? Anybody know?
