There are several woodland primula that will do well here in the
mid-west without extra moisture. If you like the one from Marge, perhaps you
would want to look into P. sieboldii the Japanese woodland primula. Another
I like is the P. veris, and elatior, and kisoana. Of course vulgaris is
always a good choice.

Several years ago I mentioned how I simply could not grow primula, not for
long anyway. Marge sent me some of hers and they've survived quite a long
