a GOOD note...our deer came back this morning.  Over a week ago he was
frightened by the dump trucks that came out to put gravel on our
driveway.  He jumped over the fence and ran to the creek.  I thought
he was a goner.  It's only natural for him to want to be free and
running around.  I'm cool with that...but missed him terribly.  He is
part of my morning and evening routine.  Just wasn't the same without
him.  I guess the storms shook him up enough to come out of hiding.  I
went out to feed this morning after all that rain, hail and winds last
night....and there he was.  COVERED in ticks and he had scratches all
over him.  So I sprayed for the ticks and gave him a granola bar.  He
followed me right into his pen and seemed very happy to be home safe
and sound.  And I was very happy to see him.  I hugged him all over
the place and he gave me kisses back.

We met our 21 yr old son in OKC for late lunch. He had to watch his I
phone weather radar to hop between storms to get back to Stillwater.
They had 3 tornados that went through campus!

Thank all of you for your birthday wishes! I want to get to work in my
garden this morning! My peonies have been glorious this year along with
all the roses. I didn't get most of my roses pruned and they are
blooming fantastic!! Great gardening year!
