Theresa - I took out my front lawn winter before last.  Planted wild flowers, bulbs and herbs.  this second year it looks a ton better.  and no watering or mowing and very minimal spot weeding.  love it.  neighbors griped at first but now they love it too.  Tricia - sounds like a good move.  hope you love it there.

The state is now paying per square foot to do this, so that helps out a lot. Going to put in a path, some boulders, and decorative rock in a flowing pattern. We moved from Gainesville on Lake Lanier to Golden Colorado today! We fell in love with Golden when our son lived here! We had to move out of the lake house, the rent goes crazy high in the summer! We loved it there and it was closer to our daughter and 2 granddaughters but have always wanted to try Colorado.!
We came to Colorado to ski in April and found this place online!
Auralie, does your son still live here?
I hope to be able to volunteer at a community garden here!
