Another OT

Another OT - I'm full of them lately!

I mentioned last month a recurrence of my tennis elbow. Well, it's been
6 wks now and still really bothering me so I made an appointment with my
doctor. Just prior to my appointment I came down with a cold, and
coughing makes my arm ache worse. I mentioned this to my dr today,
saying that as long as I'm here for my arm, if you have anything better
than otc for my cold, I'd be interested. Well, I came out of there with
SEVEN prescriptions for my cold, one of which was for a chest x-ray - oh
- and a referral for my arm.


Does this seem like overkill? That's a lot of medication for a cough. I
dropped the stack scrips on the floor at the reception desk and two
other patients gasped - I'm sure they thought I must be on death's door.
Is this normal? I don't go to doctors much.
