Kitty: It would seem to me that the answer to that question would depend
on what your doctor thinks is wrong with you...I would sincerely hope
that he/she took the time to explain this to you along with an
explanation of what each prescription was for. And pray tell me you
don't just have a virus and got antibiotics prescribed?????? Maybe a
follow-up phone call to your provider would be in order if you really do
have questions about these things...you must act as your own advocate in
situations like this and be prepared to ask questions until you get an
answer you can fully understand. Best of luck to you!

Another OT - I'm full of them lately!<br><br>I mentioned last month a
recurrence of my tennis elbow. Well, it's been<br>6 wks now and still
really bothering me so I made an appointment with my<br>doctor. Just
prior to my appointment I came down with a cold, and<br>coughing makes
my arm ache worse. I mentioned this to my dr today,<br>saying that as
long as I'm here for my arm, if you have anything better<br>than otc for
my cold, I'd be interested. Well, I came out of there with<br>SEVEN
prescriptions for my cold, one of which was for a chest x-ray - oh<br>-
and a referral for my arm.<br><br><br>Does this seem like overkill?
That's a lot of medication for a cough. I<br>dropped the stack scrips on
the floor at the reception desk and two<br>other patients gasped - I'm
sure they thought I must be on death's door.<br>Is this normal? I don't
go to doctors
