I loved hearing Bailey White on NPR. She's a much a southern treasure
as Eudora Welty.

Have any of you ever read any of Bailey White's short stories, or her
novel
Quite a Year for Plums? She is extremely entertaining and very
knowledgeable
on the subject of C. sasanqua and other plants as well. She was
brought up
in North Florida and South Georgia so her tales are very southern and
include
hilarious characters. She used to read some of her work on NPR. I
think
all of you would enjoy her work if you find some time this winter.
