as I play catch up .... I believe Bonnie's pond is a preformed one.
Mine is the also the flexible one, but since my pond is an irregular shape as well as large.. no covering. I do use a pond heater, but do not let my pumps run all winter.

Donna, you must be thinking of the preformed ponds. The vinyl liner is very pliable and will not crack but we do cover ours.
