I agree the hum of bees is very cool. Sort of soothing actually. A friend of mine has a carob tree near his house and the bees are covered all over it. It is a fairly attractive tree, only problem is that is blooms in late october/nov, so having bees at that time of year isn't really helpful from a pollination sense for other fruit, etc. nearby.

We still have a lot of bees that visit the gardens throughout the year, but no longer any that actually live here full time.
