Well I've certainly missed a lot! I had an armadillo who lived under my house until he died. He was great about eating the fire ants; so I didn't mind him. I also knew where most of his holes were and just figured that anybody who fell in one had no business wandering around my yard in the first place. I also read once that only the armadillos from South Texas and Louisiana had the leprosy bacterium present as its in the soil there and that the only way one might remotely get leprosy from one was to eat underdone armadillo meat. They are kept as "edible" pets in some regions of Latin America.
