I can remember back in the 80's when we had a huge fire in Santa Barbara &
it blew down the canyon sides in the foot hills to the edge of the city. One
of my sons had a house to where with in 200 yds the flames came down. There
was a raiload bridge between, other wise he would have lost his home. I've
seen several in the SB foothills that were baaaaad. Those winds would really
rip through there. 
Beautiful day today. Early a.m. fog & then bluuuuue skies. forecast for rain
tonight or tomorrow.
