What about the erosion of public education? That's enough to make you
crazy. There's a manager at our Alabama plant (supposedly w/ a degree)
that hasn't mastered simple verb-subject agreement! That makes me crazy.
How do you flunk English? It's your native language for Pete's sake.

Experience, I guess. You watch the slow erosion of personal and public 
liberties, and it makes you crabby. Well, at least, makes me crabby.
