I worked until 1:00 p.m. at the nursery then went to Memphis to run errands. I got home to find that Otis had eaten a roll of adhesive insulating tape and the spray mechanism of a bottle of Febreeze. Right now I'm feeling the mood to become an abuser of not so small animals. I just keep telling myself he's just a puppy and things will get better.

Is kinda quiet, huh?

Not much going on. Ms. Fatma's school is open today [Columbus didn't discover Florida, after all]. Weather's overcast, hot [near 90], and muggy.

Only excitement was a kamikaze pine warbler [Dendroica pinus, I think] flew into the front storm door and broke it's neck. I understand the bird is somewhat rare; I can see why.
