Hi Kathy, Well, the "ritual" consists of soaking the individual garlic
cloves overnight in a baking soda and water solution (1 Tbs to 1 gallon) to
loosen the husks on the cloves, and then draining them and then soaking them
in rubbing alcohol for 5 to 10 minutes prior to planting. Plant them 6"
apart both ways about 4" deep in the more Northerly areas and about 2" deep
in the more southerly areas. Then stand back so they don't impale you when
they burst forth from the soil. The last part isn't really all that
important.

Rich, Tell me more about The Great Garlic Ritual. I just stick the cloves in
the ground. Didn't know I was supposed to do all those things! Kathyz5
