Re: Ball gardens..addictions....drought

That's terrible, Zem. Weather forecasters say we're at 40 percent probability, or something like that, but the humidity is way too low [67 percent] to take that seriously. The barometer, however. is falling. So maybe. But we haven't gotten any rain since Wilma [5 inches] and we usually have an hour or 2 a day at this time of year. I did hear there is wet stuff from the Caribbean crossing Cuba and heading for us.

I don't think we are going to get any rain from that storm, Jim. It's supposed to dissipate about the time it gets to Memphis, and I'm 50 miles east of there. Everything in my yard is brown and crispy. I'm just sick about it, but I can't afford to do any more watering than I'm doing. The natives are going all right, and I have a lot of them. Hopefully they will reseed abundantly because I'm not putting in any more "weak sisters." :-)

Pam, if you don't get any rain from today's storm, you're in serious trouble.

Oh I feel for you Pam. Our neighbor just came back from Dallas on business,
said that they are in really bad shape their with the drought too. We
haven't had adequate rainfall in a couple months either...had been hoping Rita
would do it, but she didn't bring anything but winds and high temps that dried
everything out even more. "Supposed" to get rain tonight with the cool front
blowing in, hope you do too. Only good thing is that the humidity level has
been low for some time now, so it feels great.
Hoping you get some relief soon.
