Re: OT - Press release experience?


It's just who, what, why, when, and where, like any other press release, Bonnie. Helps if you can lead with something sexy/unique, like you're going to tar and feather the mayor or pit St. Nick against Old Nick, but if you can't, just lead with whatever it is about the event should attract the most reader interest [editors are interested in readers; they don't care about events or sponsors, unless the sponsors are advertisers]. Just be sure you include all the who, what, why, when, and where stuff--and your name and phone number--so whoever re-writes it will have no excuse for screwing it up.
