There is a Viola called  "Yesterday, Today & 
Tomorrow'\"  which actually changes color with maturity  from purple  to 
lavender and then
white??   I've never heard of  this.  There is an evergreen shrub 
(Brunfelsia) used in landscaping  here often with that common name, and it has blooms 
that change...hence the  name.  Had no idea there was a Viola that changes colors 
as well.
