Mine always do better when they spend as much time outside as possible Jesse.

I wish I knew! Must be the plant has good genes. I do practice benign neglect: water about once a week, 1/4 strength orchid food every other week (when I remember). It sits in front of an east facing window most of the year. Had it outside for a month or so in filtered sunlight, but then it started blooming again, so brought it back inside to enjoy. Mine only blooms in the fall? Cathy Carpenter <cathy.c@insightbb.com> wrote: Speaking of orchid blooms, I have a mature phalenopsis that doesn't know when to quit. It blooms non-stop, all year. Today, it has an actively blooming spike that has produced two branches, and I just noticed a completely new spike emerging. It won't even stop long enough for me to repot it. I know of another, which is comfortably growing on the trunk of a very large bougainvillea on the side of the house, that is also blooming. I guess I need to check all of the other orchids once the rain stops. Anyway, it's nice that the "orchid rescue" project we started 4-5 years ago is beginning to pay dividends.
