You should plant some little rockgardn iris too for next spring. Sweet little things. You don't need a rockgarden for them.

Ooh, nice. I picked up some "purple" iris from freecycle a few months
back, mostly because we didn't have any iris and they do extremely
well here. And they've now all got new growth, which is gratifying.
